Labrador Retriever wins Gaming Competition

Dog says the competition was "Ruff!"

When the Unreal Tournament in Redding, England started, 400 experienced progammers signed up for the competition. Each clan has a mascot for their clan. Among the mascots that included tanks, knights, orcs, fluffy teddy bears, and sharks there was an friendly, loyal yellow lab with a waggley tail, named Rex.

The competition includes rounds in strategy games, online multi-player war games, and Nintendo games. Rex's forte is Mario Cart. One participant was quoted as saying

"The competition is fierce!"

Rex learned to game from his owners, which includes 2 teenage boys who also enjoy games. Rex has devised a method of play called "Bark" in which he uses a modified controller to steer with his front paws and press the jump control with his tail. This method has proved so effective that he has moved up in the ranks to the point where his clan, the Good Boys, had to give Rex a chance at playing and competing.

Rex loves to play. He loves to fetch the flag, does zoomies across the finish line, and get a treat when his score rolls over the high score! After a good round of gaming, he loves a good tummy rub. How has Rex managed to beat out the competition? He puts his best paw forward! And he growls at anyone who threatens his score.
